Privacy Policy

No account, no sign-in

CalcBlast does not require an account. We never ask for your name, email address, phone number, date of birth, or any other contact or identity information, and the app contains no sign-in or registration feature.

What stays on your device

Your quiz history, XP, levels, streaks, achievements, unlocked lessons, and settings are saved locally in the app's own storage on your device. This information is not transmitted to us, and it is deleted when you delete the app.

What is sent off your device

CalcBlast uses artificial intelligence to generate questions, explanations, hints, lessons, and tutoring replies. To do that, the following is sent to our server and then forwarded to our AI provider, OpenAI, purely to produce a response:

• Math text you provide — the topic you pick, a question you ask the AI tutor, or work you paste in to be checked.
• Voice recordings — only when you deliberately tap the microphone button to ask a question out loud. The recording is transcribed to text and the transcript is used to answer you.

We do not store this content on our servers, and it is not written to any database. It is processed to generate your answer and then discarded. OpenAI processes it as our service provider under its own API data policies and does not use it to train its models.

What we do not do

• We do not track you across other apps or websites.
• We do not use advertising, ad networks, or advertising identifiers (IDFA).
• We do not use analytics, crash-reporting, or attribution SDKs.
• We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, health data, or payment information.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with data brokers or any third party for their own purposes.

Permissions

CalcBlast asks for one permission: microphone access. It is requested only if you choose to ask the AI tutor a question by voice, and it is used only for that. If you decline, every other part of the app continues to work.

Children's privacy

CalcBlast is rated 4+ and is designed for learners of all ages, including children. Because the app has no accounts, no ads, no tracking, no social features, and no messaging, it does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your choices

Because nothing is stored on our servers and no account exists, there is no profile to access, correct, export, or delete. Deleting the app removes all locally stored data permanently. You can also revoke microphone access at any time in your device's Settings.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new "last updated" date.
